Over the past few weeks (and months. And years.) I’ve been having similar conversations with God.
Well, most of the time it’s just been me ranting.
Wondering why God has yet to provide.
Begging Him to show me what I need to change.
Searching for the answers to my issues.
A few days ago, as I was praying, God provided me with a quiet, but constant reminder.
“My Love, you do not need just any man.
You do not need just any man to tell you that you are loved.
You do not need just any man to provide for your needs.
You do not need just any man to tell you that you are beautiful.
You do not need just any man to hold you when you need to be held.
You do not need just any man to confide in, count on, rely on.
You do not need just any man to share your life with.
My daughter, you just need Me.
All you need is My love.
All you need is My heart.
All you need is Me.
When you seek Me, and find Me, you will see that I have everything you will ever need.
What a human man can give you will never be enough.
But what I have lasts for all of eternity.
Will you reach out of your desperation and grab the hand that awaits you, My child?”
And that hit. Me. Hard.
It still does.
But I realize now that He is right. He is all I need. He will provide for my every need.
I can’t rely on worldly men to find my purpose, my place.
I must rely on Him.
And so I shall.
